Delta Dental Premier is unique in that it combines the advantages of a traditional indemnity plan with the savings of a preferred dentist organization (PPO).

Savings
You’ll save a minimum of 10% in claims costs over traditional indemnity plans with Delta Dental Premier. The plan offers a number of cost controls, including:
- A guaranteed savings of at least 10% on all Massachusetts claims payments.
- Reduced dentist fees. Our dentists generally accept lower fees for Delta Dental Premier members (we call them allowable fees), which helps control claims costs and reduce member co-payments.
- A no balance billing policy. Members will never pay more for covered services than the dentist’s allowable fee when they visit a participating Delta Dental Premier dentist.
- Rollover Max. This valuable benefit feature allows members to roll over part of their unused spending in a healthy year to increase their maximum benefit limit the next year, and beyond. Limitations apply, and some programs exclude this feature. Please refer to your benefit materials or contact Customer Service for more information.

This extensive network puts close to 6,600 access points at a member’s disposal (that’s more than 96% of Massachusetts’ dentists), so it’s unlikely anyone will need to switch from his/her current dentist to receive care!

- Coverage levels: What percent of dentists’ fees your plan will cover.
- Deductibles and annual maximums: What your annual maximums and network deductibles will be.
- Major restorative services: Coverage for crowns and dentures.
- Riders: Allow the option to offer a number of riders, including orthodontia.
