How the Plan Works
DeltaCare works much like a dental HMO. Each DeltaCare member chooses a Primary Care Dentist (PCD) from our network to coordinate his/her dental care. PCDs prepare and implement a formal treatment plan for each member after an initial examination. In the event a member needs specialty care, they may select a specialist from the DeltaCare network or ask their PCD for a recommendation. Members are responsible for fixed co-payments for many of the services they receive, which they pay directly to their dentists.
DeltaCare is easy for members to use since there are never any claims or forms to fill out when they visit their DeltaCare dentist or a specialist their dentist refers them to. And, unlike traditional fee-for-service plans, DeltaCare members can easily predict the cost of their dental care because their out-of-pocket costs are based on a fixed co-payment schedule.
